How Gifting Works in Roblox Rivals
How the Roblox RIVALS gifting menu works, what can and cannot be gifted, and the two rules that make a gift fail.
RIVALS has a Gifting section inside the Shop: you pick a recipient, pick a Robux item, buy it, and it lands on their account with an optional note. The two rules that stop a gift working are that a normal bundle cannot go to someone who already owns it, and a normal bundle cannot be bought twice — and if a gift does not go through, the sender gets a gifting ticket back.
Updated 8 September 2026.
This is Roblox RIVALS by Nosniy Games, not Marvel Rivals.
The mechanic, from the game's own documentation
The wiki's Shop page has a dedicated Gifting section. Read 8 September 2026, it says:
"The Gifting section allows players to gift items that cost Robux to another player. To gift a bundle, the player must select a recipient, select the item, and purchase it."
Three steps, in that order: recipient, then item, then purchase. Not the other way round — you do not buy a thing and then decide who gets it.
You can attach a note. The wiki lists the preset options — Enjoy!, Thanks!, Surprise!, I appreciate you!, You're the best!, Thanks for everything!, You played well!, You owe me!, Happy birthday!, Merry Christmas!, Happy holidays!, Congratulations! — plus a Custom option.
And the safety net, verbatim:
"If the gift does not go through, the gifting player will receive a gifting ticket, which allows them to gift another user."
So a failed gift is not a lost purchase. It becomes a ticket you can spend on someone else.
What can be gifted
The scope is defined by price, not by category: items that cost Robux. In practice that covers the things people actually want sent to them:
- Normal bundles — RPG, Medkit, Exogun, Standard Weapons, Classic, Energy, Heavy Duty
- Skin bundles — Pixel, Balloon, Prop, Pirate, Nostalgia
- Currency bundles — the Key ladder at 49 / 199 / 449 / 2,199 / 4,999 Robux, and the seasonal Candy and Pearl ladders that reuse the same prices
- Skin cases — 249 Robux each
- Season Pass levels and the Prime pass
Skins acquired with Skin Tickets are a different matter. The wiki's Skin Tickets page notes that other than being gifted, tickets are "currently the only way to acquire normal skins for free" — which is a plain statement that skins do arrive by gift.
The two rules that break a gift
This is the part almost nobody writes down, and it is the single most common reason a RIVALS gift fails. From the wiki's Bundles page:
"Normal bundles cannot be gifted to players who already own them, and they cannot be bought more than once."
Two consequences:
- Check before you send. If your friend already owns the Classic Bundle, the Classic Bundle cannot be gifted to them. Not "it will be a duplicate" — it cannot be sent.
- A normal bundle is a one-time unlock. There is no stacking, no second copy, no resale.
Skin bundles behave differently. The same page says that if a skin bundle is bought more than once, "the items will go into the player's Backpack". So the Pixel, Balloon, Prop, Pirate and Nostalgia bundles do not hard-fail on a duplicate the way the normal bundles do.
Currency bundles are the safest gift of all, because currency always stacks. A Key Bundle can be sent to anyone, any number of times.
Regional pricing
The wiki flags two things worth knowing before you send a gift internationally: bundle prices "may be different" depending on the player's region, and in some regions players "may not be able to receive lootboxes from bundles". The Currency Bundles page adds the same caveat for currency: prices vary with regional pricing and Roblox Premium discounts.
If a bundle gift is behaving strangely for a recipient in another country, region is the first thing to check.
Gifting Discord servers
Search suggestions around RIVALS gifting are full of "gifting server" and "gifting discord". These are not a mechanic in the game. There is no gifting server run by Nosniy Games, and a stranger offering to gift you a bundle for something first is describing the oldest trade scam on Roblox. The gift mechanic requires the sender to spend Robux; nobody is doing that for free at scale.
The safe version of the same idea is that gifting is exactly how a shop can deliver to you without ever touching your account.
How we use gifting
Every one of the 54 RIVALS items we list is delivered as an in-game gift — that is the gift delivery method on all of them, not a subset. What that means for you in practice:
- You give us a username only. We never ask for your password, and there is no reason we would need it — the gift is sent to your username from our side.
- You need to be reachable in game for the gift to land.
- Because of the bundle rule above, tell us if you already own the bundle you are ordering. A bundle you already own cannot be gifted to you, and that is a game rule, not a shop policy.
- Every completed order is photographed. We publish our current delivery statistics on /about rather than printing a fixed figure here.
Where to buy
Cheapest first, because currency gifts never fail on a duplicate:
- Key Bundle — the 49 Robux tier, always giftable
- Pearl Bundle — the seasonal currency ladder at the same price points
- Skin Case — 249 Robux in game
- RPG Bundle and Medkit Bundle — the two cheapest normal bundles
- Prime Bundle — season pass
