Best Knife Skins in Roblox Rivals

Karambit, Balisong, Keyrambit and the rest — every Roblox RIVALS knife skin and what actually differs between them.

The Knife in Roblox RIVALS costs 20 Keys, deals 40 damage and instantly eliminates on a backstab — and every one of its 14 skins shares those numbers exactly. What separates them is sound, animation and effects, which is why the skins players call the best are the quiet ones: Karambit from Skin Case 2, Balisong from Skin Case 3, and the Mythical Keyrambit and Keylisong.

Updated 8 September 2026.

This is Roblox RIVALS by Nosniy Games, not Marvel Rivals.

What the Knife actually does

From the weapon's own wiki infobox, read 8 September 2026:

Stat Value
Cost 20 Keys
Damage 40
Attack cooldown 0.60s
Equip cooldown 0.45s
Move speed +10%
Attack reach 6
Heavy (backstab) damage 40, or instant elimination on a successful backstab
Heavy cooldown 1.25s
Heavy reach 7
Critical damage 150

The tagline the game gives it is "Backstab enemies for an instant elimination", and the wiki's ability note is the part that matters in a fight: the Heavy has "a generous, lingering hitbox that makes backstabbing easier", it can hit multiple enemies at once, and it can bypass a Riot Shield worn on an enemy's back depending on the angle.

Where the Knife sits against the other melee weapons

Same source, same date — the standard melee line-up:

Weapon Keys Damage Cooldown Move speed Special
Knife 20 40 0.60s +10% Instant-elimination backstab
Daggers 30 20 (×2 burst) 0.60s +10% 1 extra double jump, 40 crit
Scythe 40 35 0.70s Normal Dash in any direction, 4s cooldown
Katana 45 45 0.70s Normal Deflects bullets back at enemies
Battle Axe 50 55 0.70s −10% Spin attack, 30 damage in a 10 radius
Maul (Prime) 550 75 1.00s −20% Slam: 50 damage, radius 24, from 8 studs up

The Knife is the cheapest melee in the game and the only one with a one-hit kill. It is also the fastest to equip at 0.45s, and one of only two that increase your move speed. That is the case for the weapon; the skins are cosmetic on top of it.

Which one is "best", honestly

There is no damage difference, so the ranking is about what the skin does to the information your opponent gets:

  1. Karambit (Skin Case 2) — the single most searched knife skin in the game, and the wiki lists its effects as "No Equip Sound, Unique Animations". No equip sound is a real advantage on a weapon whose entire job is walking up behind someone.
  2. Pencil (Prop Bundle) — also "No Equip Sound", plus a unique backstab sound and unique animations. Same advantage, and it comes from a bundle rather than a lottery.
  3. Balisong (Skin Case 3) — Legendary, unique sounds and animations, but the wiki does not list "no equip sound" for it. Prettier, louder.
  4. Keyrambit / Keylisong — Mythical, with unique equip and attack sounds, unique animations, flash effects and a trail. The most conspicuous knives in the game, and the rarest. If you want to be noticed rather than unheard, these are the ones.
  5. Candy Cane (Festive Skin Case) — Legendary, no equip sound, unique animations. Seasonal, so it only appears when the Festive event runs.

The pay-to-win argument, stated fairly: knife skins do not change damage, reach or cooldown, so they are not statistically pay-to-win. What some of them do change is audibility — a skin with no equip sound removes a cue your opponent would otherwise get. That is the real complaint, and it is about three or four specific skins, not about skins in general.

How to get them

Karambit and Balisong are case skins, so the route is a case and there is no published drop rate — the developer has never released per-rarity odds. Skin Case 2 holds 44 skins of which 16 are Legendary; Skin Case 3 holds 44 of which 17 are Legendary. That tells you how crowded the Legendary pool is, not your chance of hitting it.

Pencil is different and worth knowing: it comes from the Prop Bundle, which is a fixed purchase, not a roll. If you want a silent knife and you do not want a lottery, that is the deterministic route.
