How to Get Godlys and Chromas in Murder Mystery 2

Every route to a Godly or Chroma in Murder Mystery 2: box odds, crafting costs, event battle passes and trading.

There are five routes to a Godly in Murder Mystery 2 — unboxing, crafting, gamepasses, event battle passes and trading — and the wiki puts a box Godly at roughly 0.2%, or 1 in 500. Chromas are rarer still: 35 exist, most are unboxed at odds the wiki calls 'extremely low', and twelve of them can now only be traded for because their events are over.

What a Godly actually is

Murder Mystery 2 stacks its weapon rarities like this: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Godly, then Ancient at the top. Godly is one tier above Legendary and one below Ancient.

The wiki's Godly Weapons page, read on 8 September 2026, records 124 different Godly weapons — 85 knives and 39 guns. It also gives the single most useful number on this page:

"Box Godlies usually have a 0.2% (1 in 500) chance of being unboxed from their respective box."

One in five hundred. That is the base rate for the unbox route, and it is the developer-adjacent figure the community works from — not a percentage anyone invented.

Chromas are a separate axis. A Chroma is a colour-cycling version of a Godly, not a rarity of its own. There are 35 Chroma weapons in the game. From Season 1 onward every box was given an unboxable Chroma version of the Godly inside it, at odds the wiki describes only as "extremely low" — no number is published, and we are not going to make one up.

Route 1 — unboxing

Buy a box in the shop, open it, and hope. Godlies sit at roughly 1 in 500 per box; their Chroma twins sit somewhere well below that.

This is the route most players start on and the one that costs the most for the least. Five hundred boxes is not a plan. It is worth doing only for boxes you were going to open anyway for the Legendaries, which feed the next route.

Route 2 — crafting

Crafting is the one deterministic route in the game, and only a small set of Godlies use it. The Seer family — Seer, Blue Seer, Purple Seer, Red Seer, Orange Seer, Yellow Seer — is listed as "Crafting, or Trading" and nothing else.

The wiki's Seer article gives the exact cost: 20 legendary shards, which means salvaging at least ten Legendary weapons. Chroma Seer is also crafted, and it is the only Chroma with a crafting route at all.

If you want a Godly and you have a pile of Legendaries you do not use, this is the cheapest honest path in Murder Mystery 2. It is also slow, and it gets you a Seer — not the Godly you were probably thinking of.

Route 3 — event battle passes

This is where most of the desirable Godlies actually came from, and the arithmetic is public.

The 2025 Halloween Event ran from 18 October 2025 to 21 November 2025. It was alien-themed, added four new Godlies and a 25-tier battle pass. Each tier past the first cost 800 Candies; the Godly Raygun unlocked at tier 25 for a further 90,000 Candies. Total to finish: 109,200 Candies. During the event, coins did not spawn at all — only Candies.

The Chroma version of that same Raygun was the same tier reward, and its article records something rare for MM2: "the approximate chances of obtaining this weapon had been around 1 in 50." That is a published figure, and it is the clearest illustration on the whole page of what a Chroma actually costs — you grind 109,200 Candies and then face a 2% roll.

Older events priced it differently. Harvester, an Ancient gun, came from the 2021 Halloween Event as the tier 30 reward for 80,000 Candies. The event is long over, so the wiki now lists it as trading-only.

Christmas events use a different currency again. The Gifting Center's Godly has cost 100 Gifts in every Christmas event since 2019, and a Gift costs 600 Snow Tokens — so 60,000 Snow Tokens for one Godly from 2023 onward, and 100,000 in the years before that when a Gift cost 1,000 tokens.

Route 4 — gamepasses and codes

The Godly Weapons page lists gamepasses and codes as obtain routes alongside boxes, crafting, events and trading. In practice this is a small, changing set; treat any list of "current MM2 codes" you find on another site as unverified unless it names a date.

Route 5 — trading, and why most Chromas end here

Twelve Chromas — Chroma Evergun, Bauble, Sunset, Raygun, Snowcannon, Ornament, Snowstorm, Blizzard, Sweet, Treat, Beachy and Sands — were originally obtained "through gifting, tiers, or gamepasses during their respective events" and are now only obtainable through trading. Their events cannot be replayed. There is no drop rate for them any more, because there is no drop.

That is the real answer to "how do I get a Chroma": for most of them, you trade for one or you buy one.

Two things fall out of that table. Seer at 8.8 is the crafting route's whole story — a Godly you can build from ten Legendaries is worth about a thousandth of a Traveler's Set. And Harvester is the most-traded item in the set at 2,359 observations despite a modest value, which is what a genuinely popular, genuinely accessible Ancient looks like.
